About The Blog

The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts and Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis have joined together to create the Contemporary-Pulitzer blog which, for the first time, combines the perspectives of two separate institutions with differing missions within the same blog.

Offering alternating posts each day from the Pulitzer and Contemporary, the blog provides a candid look at the behind-the-scenes workings of both arts organizations.

Perceptions of the Church

Amy, one of our web communications interns at the Pulitzer, was out in front of the burned church yesterday, getting some footage of the work they are doing on the side lot (previously rocky with remnants of an old foundation – now they’re cleaning it up and putting in sod and benches!).  Across the street from the church is Cardinal Ritter, a high school that’s also involved with our Community Light Project (they’re working on a light installation for their school).  As she was standing there, out came a student with his mom and a minister.  Amy got some video of them talking about what they thought of how the church was shaping up.  Here’s what the student’s mom had to say:

More here.  We also have some footage up of more Spencer Finch ice cream, with the artists doing a taste test and a walk-through of the solar panels in action…

One Response to “Perceptions of the Church”

  1. September 1st, 2008 at 08:59 am Ray Hearn Says:

The excitement is growing among the neighborhood residents. The usual elevator chatter has changed to “Have you seen the church?” or the “Electric Snake”. The fashion of taking an evening stroll around the block is back. Every day we see it grow more exciting. We cant wait!
